When I first saw this palette in the shop I was mesmerised by its beauty! Like it was so pretty I had to have it. As soon as I brought it home and took it out to play with I was clueless as to what to do with it! So off I went stalking youtube etc for ideas on how to use my new toy! I have it a few months now and I can’t get enough! I have finally mastered the use of it and where to put what!
There are three shades of highlighters in the palette Dim Light, Incandescent Light and Radiant light.
Some powders brighten and some soften! (Here are the swatches)
Dim light – This is a very “barely there” finish and works as a great setting powder all over the face. It has very little sheen or shimmer and therefore does not highlight fine lines and works to blur imperfections!
Incandescent Light – This is the limited edition powder that is unique to this palette. It is BEAUTIFUL as in you will fall in love with this as soon as you open the palette! It brightens and has a pearly finish to it perfect for cheek bones or over a blush. It is quite shimmery however it doesn’t emphasise pores which is great!
Radiant light – This is a golden beige powder that has a beautiful shimmer to it. I usually us this over my blush to create a deeper shade or to highlight a more matte blush.
This palette is most definitely on the luxury side of things. It is quite pricey at $58 in Sephora. It is however a gorgeous addition to my makeup collection. The highlighters are good quality and work great with my make up routine. (It sounds like I’m trying to justify it) 🙂
If you are looking for a new highlighter and you want to spoil yourself this is for you. While not a must have it is certainly a great product and with a little practice can transform your routine makeup look!
