Review: The House – North Beach , San Francisco

Stumbled upon this absolute gem on Yelp a couple of weeks ago. Β The reviews were pretty good so decided to check it out for myself and … WOW. I cannot wait to go back. My new mission in life is to try everything on this perfectly put together menu!

The food was delicious. The presentation was on point. The wine – perfect!

To start we had deep fried salmon roll and grilled octopus. It was so good. The salmon was cooked perfectly and although deep fried was not at all greasy. The octopus had a delicious smokey taste to it and accompanied with the avocado and potatoes was just heaven!

For main course we ordered the Sea Bass and the wasabi noodles and steak. The sea bass was probably the nicest I’ve ever had. The garlic ginger sauce really complemented it and both the green beans and noodles were also cooked perfectly. The steak was melt in your mouth experience! There was no need to give a steak knife as it was so perfectly tender!

Desert was a berry and orange crumble served with ice cream. Can’t go wrong with a crumble. It was exactly as expected – sugary goodness!

I really cannot fault the food and the service was also really good. Our server went through the menu in detail and was happy to recommend wines and dishes she felt might interest us without being pushy.

I will certainly be back sooner rather than later!

If you want good quality Asian food in a great part of the city this is for you. Β But make sure to make a reservation as it is a small restaurant and very popular!
