Today’s post is a review on the lovely cottages I visited a couple of weeks ago.
These cottages are located just outside Skibbereen and are the perfect relaxing getaway for you and a friend!
I stayed in Cottage two. This included a large jacuzzi bath and an outdoor hot tub. It also was equipped with a fully functioning Kitchen, sky box, two TV’s, shower , etc. Basically everything you need for a very relaxing stay.
What really struck me about the cottages was how personal the owners made it. All the instructions had your name on it which was a nice personal touch and also there was a welcome board at the top of the stairs , which I thought again was a nice touch.
And what better way to be made feel at home that to be greeted by a lovely complementary bottle of bubbly! 🙂
The kitchen had pretty much everything you needed to cook. There was even fresh milk in the fridge. If you didn’t feel like cooking there was a list of several take aways in Skibbereen that would deliver right to the door so choice was not an issue.
We brought dinner with us. We stopped at the Pavillion in Ballygarvan and got some amazing salads .. if you haven’t gone here you should defo take a trip! .. and we also popped to the local farmers market and picked up some stuff there so we were well prepared for dinner!
The sitting room area was really nice and comfy and had loads of light. There was a sky box with all movie channels and sky sports which was great as the wifi didn’t work so no laptops iPads , phones etc could stream anything. But at the same time it was nice to get away from the internet for 24 hours!
Downstairs had the bathroom, bedroom and jacuzzi bath room which opened out to the decking which had two chairs a table and the hot tub.
We had a really nice stay and I would most definitely recommend it to others. I would love to stay again in another cottage. The tree houses looked amazing!
The weather was terrible while we were in west cork but we still travelled out to Barley Cove as it is one of my favourite beaches in Ireland.
Luckily the rain stopped for a couple of minutes so I could take a few pictures to share with ye!
